Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki (shoulder) ready to go for playoffs
Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki (shoulder) said Tuesday that he's not pain-free, but he's ready to go for the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Division Series against the Texas Rangers.
Tulowitzki injured his shoulder on September 12 and didn't return to the lineup until October 2. He also played on October 4, going 3-for-8 in the two games, with 2 doubles and a run scored. Tulo said he isn't pain-free, but come October, pretty much no MLB player is.
Our algorithms currently give the Blue Jays a 28.9 percent chance of winning the World Series, significantly better odds than the next highest percentage of 17.3 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Having Tulo in the lineup, even at less than 100 percent, should help the favorites to move on against the Texas Rangers.
