Astros' Carlos Gomez homers in return to lineup
Houston Astros center fielder Carlos Gomez belted a solo homer in his return to action Tuesday as the Astros beat the New York Yankees in the American League Wild Card Game.
What It Means:
We didn't see as much power as we are accustomed to from Gomez this year, he finished the regular season with only 12 homers and a .154 ISO. The Astros will need Gomez to be on as they take on the Kansas City Royals and pitcher Yordano Ventura, who posted a 2.86 FIP in September, in the ALDS.
