Red Sox' Eduardo Nunez (knee) in at DH for Game 1 of ALDS
Boston Red Sox third baseman/shortstop Eduardo Nunez is serving as the team's designated hitter for Game 1 against the Houston Astros.
Nunez has been battling a knee injury of late, but the Red Sox will deploy him in a limited capacity on Thursday. From there, he will hit second in the Boston order while Rafael Devers starts at third and Hanley Ramirez operates from the bench this afternoon.
Having hit 6-for-18 with 1 home run in his career against Justin Verlander, today's starter, Nunez is projected for 8.9 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,500.
