Mookie Betts out of Red Sox' lineup on Tuesday night
Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts (wrist) is not starting on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Betts was scheduled for examination after being pulled from Monday's contest due to left wrist discomfort, and the results remain unknown. Red Sox manager John Farrell indicated the team was likely just being conservative with the playoffs nearing. Chris Young will be in right field and Andrew Benintendi will be in left for Boston on Tuesday night.
Betts has hit 23 home runs with a .265/.343/.457 slash in 700 plate appearances on the year. He's averaged 12.6 FanDuel points per game in 2017.
