Mets' Wilmer Flores (nose) remains out on Monday
New York Mets second/third baseman Wilmer Flores will remain out of the lineup for Monday's matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies.
As Flores recovers from a broken nose suffered Saturday against the Houston Astros, he will sit for the second straight day. On the plus side, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports that Flores could play as soon as this week after seeing a specialist in New York. In the meantime, Asdrubal Cabrera will continue to serve as the Mets' primary third baseman.
If and when he returns, our models project Flores for 3 home runs, 10 RBI and a .281 average over 69 plate appearances the rest of the way this season.
