Yankees' Tyler Austin back to the bench on Saturday
New York Yankees outfielder Tyler Austin is not playing on Saturday afternoon versus the Seattle Mariners.
Austin went 0-for-2 with a walk on Friday night before being removed from the game. He has been sent down to Triple-A so he can get more at bats, but should be back with the big league club once rosters expand in September. Greg Bird is returning to the Yankees lineup and batting sixth today.
Our models project Austin to hit just .182 over 13 plate appearances for the duration of 2017.
