Giants' Brandon Crawford out again Thursday
San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (calf) remains out of the Giants' starting lineup on Thursday.
Crawford is still sidelined after being hit in the left calf by a pitch during Monday's game. Monday was his first game back from an oblique issue. Ehire Adrianza is starting in Crawford's place tonight against the Colorado Rockies.
Always a defensive wizard, Crawford is in the midst of a breakout season with the bat, posting a career-best .343 wOBA, easily outdoing his 2014 clip of .309. Crawford's wOBA ties him with Troy Tulowitzki for best among shortstops. We have Crawford projected for a .712 OPS, four homers and 17 RBI the rest of the way -- assuming the calf issue is minor.
