Eddie Rosario launches grand slam, but Twins fall to White Sox

Minnesota Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario connected for a 423-foot grand slam Thursday, but that would account for the team's only runs in the game as they fell to the Chicago White Sox, 6-4.

What It Means:

It was Rosario's ninth home run of the season, giving him now 34 extra-base hits (15 doubles, 10 triples) in his rookie campaign.

The grand slam elevates Rosario's slash to .271/.291/.446. The one thing hurting Rosario's value right now is his minuscule 3.0 walk percentage, keeping his on-base percentage below .300. It's still a pleasant surprise for the Twins, though, as Rosario had struggled in the minors since receiving a 50-game suspension prior to the 2014 season.
