Matt Harvey dehydrated after Mets' win over Phillies
New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey was dehydrated and "feeling a little weak" after Wednesday's start against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Harvey gave up four runs over 6 1/3 innings in the win. Officials told reporters he was feeling weak during the outing. It was unclear whether Harvey was going to travel with the Mets to Miami Wednesday night or whether he would stay behind. It shouldn't be a huge issue going forward, but it's something to monitor, especially with the Mets wanting to give the right-hander a break sometime in September. They may play it safe and use this as a reason to skip his next start.
Harvey owns a 3.33 FIP whole fanning 8.55 hitters per nine innings. That rate is the lowest of his career. For the rest of the season, we have Harvey projected at a 3.34 ERA and 1.09 WHIP to go with 30 strikeouts in 38 innings.
