Brett Phillips heads to Brewers' bench on Wednesday night

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Brett Phillips is not starting on Wednesday versus the Washington Nationals.

What It Means:

Phillips has started five straight and seven of the last 10 contests for the Brewers, but he'll be replaced in center field on Wednesday night by Lewis Brinson, who was just called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs this afternoon. Playing time may be hard to come by moving forward for the 23-year-old Phillips.

In extremely limited action this season, Phillips is slashing .229/.289/.429 with a pair of dingers in 39 plate appearances (15 games). numberFire's models project him to see just 22 more plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
