Giants' Johnny Cueto (blister) still not throwing
San Francisco Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto has yet to resume throwing as he recovers from blisters on his throwing hand.
Cueto isn't rushing his return, but he doesn't have any reason to. At 37-61, the Giants are 29 1/2 back of first place and will likely miss the playoffs for the second time in three years. While he's likely to return this season, it could be a while before we see Cueto toeing the rubber again.
We project Cueto for a 2-2 record, 4.50 ERA and 31 strikeouts across 40 innings the rest of this season.
