Brandon Crawford (oblique) out of Giants' lineup for second straight day
San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (oblique) is out of the Giants' starting lineup again on Thursday.
Crawford left Tuesday's game versus the Chicago Cubs with tightness in his left side and lower back. Crawford said he it hoping to be back "within a couple days."
Crawford, always a defensive wizard, is in the midst of a breakout season with the bat, posting a career-best .343 wOBA, easily outdoing his 2014 clip of .309. Crawford's wOBA ties him with Troy Tulowitzki for best among shortstops. We have Crawford projected for a .712 OPS, four homers and 17 RBI the rest of the way.
