Marlins' Dee Gordon making first start at shortstop since 2013
Miami Marlins infielder Dee Gordon will play shortstop and hit ninth in Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
What It Means:
Gordon hasn't started at shortstop since September 29, 2013 while with the Los Angeles Dodgers. J.T. Riddle's finger injury is forcing the shift. On second base for Miami and hitting seventh will be Steve Lombardozzi.
