Rockies win behind Tyler Chatwood's complete-game shutout
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Tyler Chatwood mowed through the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, allowing two hits in a complete-game, 5-0 shutout.
Chatwood only needed 105 pitches to get through the Giants on Saturday, while walking one and striking out four hitters. San Francisco didn't have Buster Posey or Brandon Crawford in the lineup, but it was still an impressive performance from the 27 year-old righty. After two starts Chatwood had a 6.35 ERA, but his complete-game shutout dropped it to 3.54 through 20.1 innings pitched.
Our models expect Chatwood to post 4.48 ERA and 1.49 WHIP with 100 strikeouts over 132.5 innings remaining this season.
