Ruben Tejada (rest) out of lineup, Wilmer Flores to start

Ruben Tejada is getting the night off Monday, giving way to Wilmer Flores, who will be batting fifth and playing shortstop.

What It Means:

Since last week, Wilmer Flores has gone from supposedly being traded to the Brewers, to crying on the field, to hitting a walk-off home run against the Nationals and becoming a national figure of the human side of professional baseball. While that is all nice and we are happy to see Flores' recent success, we here at numberFire focus strictly on the statistical side of sports. Flores has been significantly better against left-handed pitchers than righties: his wOBA agains lefties is .388, whereas against righties it's .268. That's a difference of .120, and as a result, we cannot recommend him tonight against Tom Koehler and the Marlins.
