Joc Pederson (rest) not in Dodgers lineup Saturday
Joc Pederson will remain out of the Dodgers lineup for the second straight game. Kike Hernandez will play center field and bat eighth. Jimmy Rollins will move into the leadoff spot against the Angels.
This appears to be an extended break for Pederson. The left-handed Andrew Heaney will take the mound for the Angels today. He has a stellar 1.79 ERA but a 3.57 xFIP that suggests regression could be coming his way. Rollins has been dead weight in the Dodgers offense this year with a .273 wOBA and -1.29 nERD. His nERD puts him among the 30 worst hitters in baseball this year.
