Seattle's Nelson Cruz (back) returns to starting lineup Thursday
Seattle Mariners designated hitter/outfielder Nelson Cruz (back) is back in the starting lineup Thursday against the Chicago White Sox.
Back spasms forced Cruz to make an early exit on Wednesday, but it appears that the move was just precautionary. He will serve as the designated hitter and hit cleanup on Thursday. Cruz is having yet another impressive year with 32 home runs, 78 RBI's and a .539 slugging percentage in 525 plate appearances.
Cruz owns a .257 ISO and a .381 wOBA this season, which rank 20th and 22nd best respectively. We project him to continue to hit well over the rest of the year, slugging another eight taters and posting a huge .908 OPS.
