Matt Carpenter hits two home runs as Cardinals top Rockies
Matt Carpenter went 4-for-5 with a single, a double, and two home runs as the Cardinals got a bases load walk in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Rockies 9-8. He had four total RBI on the night.
Carpenter is now hitting .261/.363/.440 with a .351 wOBA on the season. Both his home runs came off Rockies lefty Chris Rusin. Carpenter came into this contest with a .270 wOBA off lefties this year, but tonight he played more like his .328 career wOBA versus lefties.
