Ryan Braun (knee, ankle) returns to lineup as Brewers battle Cubs
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun (knee, ankle) is back in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Chicago Cubs.
Braun was attempting to track down a foul ball on Tuesday at Wrigley Field when he slide into the wall down the left field line, causing him to sprain his left knee and ankle in the process. Fortunately, he avoided a major injury and will be hitting third for Milwaukee on Thursday for a matinee matchup with the Cubs and right-hander Jake Arrieta.
Braun is having yet another strong year from the dish, hitting .325/.388/.566 with a .399 wOBA and .241 ISO through 410 plate appearances. He ranks 13th among batters with a 2.81 nERD.
