Padres will likely move Derek Norris by deadline
The San Diego Padres are almost surely going to trade catcher Derek Norris before the trade deadline according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
The Padres are likely trying to move Norris to make room for Austin Hedges, so he can share catching duties with Christian Bethancourt. Rosenthal noted that the Rangers could be a landing spot for Norris.
Despite only slashing .204/.263/.279 on the season, Norris does have 12 homers, 33 RBI's and 5 stolen bases over 324 appearances at the dish. Our models project him to post an improved .292 wOBA with five homers and 19 RBI's left this year.
