Rich Hill (blister) could start Sunday for Oakland
Oakland Athletics pitcher Rich Hill (hand) is tentatively scheduled to start on the road Sunday in Cleveland against the Indians.
Hill has been battling the blister since the All-Star break. He already tried making one start through it, but was forced to leave the game in the first inning. He has been throwing bullpen sessions this week, and it looks promising that Sunday's return could be for real.
While Hill's 2.25 ERA looks outstanding on the surface, he's also sporting a 3.44 SIERA, and his 1.90 nERD ranks only 97th in the majors. We project him for a 3.66 ERA and a 25.00 percent strikeout rate over the remainder of the season.
