Jeff Samardzija and Johnny Cueto flip in Giants' rotation
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija has had his scheduled start against the New York Yankees pushed back to Sunday.
Johnny Cueto will take the hill Saturday against the Yankees while Samardzija will now pitch on Sunday. There has been no word from the Giants on the reason for the switch.
Samardzija owns a 4.05 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP across 122 1/3 innings this season. He has an 18.73 strikeout rate and a nERD of 2.35, which ranks him 41st among all players this year.
