Enrique Hernandez re-signs with Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers and infielder Enrique Hernandez have agreed on a deal for the free agent to return for the 2024 season.
What It Means:
Hernandez was reunited with the Dodgers partway through the 2023 season, and will now sign back on with the team ahead of the 2024 campaign. His numbers with the Red Sox earlier in the year were disappointing, but the change in scenery seemed to have a positive effect on his batting.
Hernandez saw his OPS jump from .599 with Boston all the way to .731 with the Dodgers in the second half of the 2023 season, with his SLG percentage seeing a similar increase of .103 between his two teams. The versatile fielder could get regular play with the Dodgers throughout their upcoming campaign.
