Matt Carpenter rips 14th rocket, Cardinals top Kansas City
St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored to help top the Kansas City Royals, 8-4, on Tuesday.

The solo shot took place in the fifth inning off Kansas City starter Yordano Ventura, giving Carpenter three dingers in his past three contests. He is now pacing the National League with a 1.012 OPS, as well as a .592 slugging percentage. For the month of June, the 30-year-old is hitting an outrageous .368/.500/.711 in 96 appearances at the plate.
