Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke leaves start with oblique issue

Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke had tightness in his left oblique on Tuesday, forcing him out of Arizona's matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies in the third inning.

What It Means:

Greinke was working on a solid month, with four wins in five starts and a 1.47 ERA in June before this game. The team has yet to give any sort of timetable on his injury, but expect to know more in the coming days.

While Greinke's 3.88 SIERA is his highest since 2007 and his 20.3 percent strikeout rate is his lowest since 2010, he still ranks 13th with a 2.73 nERD.
