Carlos Beltran leaves Yankees' game with leg injury

New York Yankees outfielder Carlos Beltran was forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers in the second inning with an apparent leg injury.

What It Means:

Beltran came up limping on his way to second after singling in his first at-bat. He was promptly pulled from the game as team trainers and Joe Girardi rushed out to check on the 39-year-old slugger. Beltran has been on a bit of a hot streak lately and the Yankees should provide an update before the night is over.

Beltran has posted a .379 wOBA in 283 plate appearances this season while recording a .297/.336/.570 slash. He has 19 upper-deckers, 53 RBI's and 42 runs scored on the year.
