D.J. LeMahieu (knee) anticipates Wednesday return to Rockies' lineup

Colorado Rockies infielder D.J. LeMahieu (knee) said Tuesday that he's feeling much better and expects to return to the starting lineup on Wednesday.

What It Means:

An MRI came back clean on LeMahieu after he was forced out of Sunday's contest due to a left knee contusion. He rode the pine on Monday and is likely being held out on Tuesday as a precautionary measure more than anything else. Expect to see Daniel Descalso in at second again for the Rockies in a matchup with J.A. Happ and the Toronto Blue Jays.

LeMahieu's career-high .327 average is sixth-best in the major leagues and well above his .290 average career-clip. He has five home runs, 29 RBI's and 47 runs scored in 297 plate appearances so far this season. The 27-year-old currently ranks 39th in the bigs with a 2.09 nERD.
