The Oakland Athletics did not list Seth Brown (oblique) as a starter for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.

Brown suffered an oblique injury during Thursday's game and was forced to exit that contest as a result. He'll sit out Friday's game as well while Esteury Ruiz joins the lineup in right field and bats seventh.
