Whit Merrifield on Blue Jays bench Tuesday
Toronto Blue Jays second baseman/outfielder Whit Merrifield is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Michael King and the New York Yankees.
Cavan Biggio will move to second base in place of Merrifield and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will start on first base. Brandon Belt (back) will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth in his first game back from the injured list.
