Cardinals' Paul Goldschimdt gets rare rest day Sunday
The St. Louis Cardinals did not include Paul Goldschmidt in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
What It Means:
Goldschmidt will take the afternoon off Sunday while Jordan Walker joins the lineup in right field and hits seventh. Alec Burleson will cover first base.
Goldschmidt is up to 622 plate appearances in 2023, with 23 homers, 81 runs, 73 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and a .273 batting average.
