Kevin Newman in Reds leadoff spot versus lefty
Cincinnati Reds infielder Kevin Newman will start on third base and bat leadoff in Tuesday's series opener against left-hander Logan Allen and the Cleveland Guardians.
What It Means:
Newman will enter the order as the Reds square off with a southpaw. Spencer Steer will shift out to left field in place of lefty hitter Will Benson. Joey Votto and TJ Friedl are also absent from the lineup.
