Brian Anderson on Brewers bench Wednesday afternoon
Milwaukee Brewers infielder Brian Anderson is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Chris Flexen and the Colorado Rockies.
Anderson will sit for the matinee after he went 2-for-8 with a triple and a pair of runs scored in the first two games of the series. Andruw Monasterio will cover the hot corner and hit sixth while Brice Turang will scoot over to the keystone and bat seventh. Willy Adames will return to shortstop and and hit fifth after back-to-back absences. Mark Canha will start on first base again for Carlos Santana (illness).
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Brewers' implied total is third-highest on the board at 5.31 and the game total is 9.0. Flexen has registered a horrendous 6.97 xERA and paltry 14.5% strikeout rate this season.
