Cubs' Miguel Amaya returns to bench Monday
The Chicago Cubs did not include Miguel Amaya in their lineup for Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
What It Means:
Amaya will take a seat Monday while Ian Happ returns to the lineup. Happ will hit third and play in left field, while Yan Gomes takes over at catcher from Amaya and Christopher Morel starts at DH.
Amaya has performed well in his opening 101 plate appearances in the majors. He has notched 2 homers, 11 runs, and 13 RBI with a .253 batting average so far.
