Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) to rehab for Cincinnati
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Raisel Iglesias is ready to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Pensacola.
Iglesias is coming back from a right shoulder impingement. The 26-year-old earned a 3.49 ERA in five starts before getting hurt, though opponents hit .293 against him during that stretch. Iglesias will join the Reds' bullpen upon his return, which eliminates most of his fantasy appeal.
A potential breakout candidate coming into 2016, Iglesias showed signs of looking the part, posting a 3.60 xFIP and a 23.6 strikeout percentage in 28 1/3 innings this season before getting hurt. Our models currently project him to record a 4.68 ERA and a 20.6 strikeout percentage for the rest of the season once he's ready to return.
