Michael Massey moving to Royals bench Tuesday
Kansas City Royals infielder Michael Massey is not in the lineup versus right-hander Lucas Giolito and the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday.
What It Means:
Massey will move to the bench after going 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Monday's series opener. He has hit safely in five straight games and raised his batting average to .200 for the first time this season. Maikel Garcia will move to second base and bat cleanup while Hunter Dozier enters the lineup to play third base and hit sixth. MJ Melendez will drop a spot in the order to bat fifth.
