Detroit Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (groin) threw a bullpen session Sunday.
What It Means:
He apparently felt great during the session, and is scheduled for another on Tuesday. If he continues to progress, he should be cleared to return to the rotation after that.
Zimmermann's 1.99 nERD ranks 81st in the Majors this season, and we project him to post a 4.06 ERA and 16.5 percent strikeout rate over the remainder of the season.
