Brandon Crawford hits walk-off RBI single in Giants' victory
San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford hit a walk-off RBI single to send the Giants to a 4-3, 10-inning win over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday.
Matt Duffy hit a one-out single against reliever Brad Hand in the 10th inning and later moved to second on a wild pitch, setting the stage for Crawford. The 29-year-old shortstop came through with a deep RBI single to win the game. It would have gone for a double or triple in any other circumstance.
For the season, Crawford is hitting .262/.337/.449 with six homers and 27 RBI's in 187 plate appearances while posting a .323 wOBA on the year.
