Mike Napoli turns in full line for Indians on Monday
Cleveland Indians first baseman Mike Napoli socked a solo homer, drew a walk and knocked in two runs Monday against the Chicago White Sox.
Giancarlo Stanton’s struggles have been getting most of the attention recently, but Napoli was 0-for-19 with 11 strikeouts over his previous four games.
The 34-year-old is now up to eight home runs and 28 RBI's on the year, but he’s slashing just .222/.292/.438 in 168 plate appearances. At the pace he’s whiffing, we don’t see the batting average going up as our models currently project him to finish the year hitting .226/.312/.424.
