Nick Hundley (oblique) could need DL stint for Rockies

Colorado Rockies catcher Nick Hundley (oblique) will be re-evaluated Friday before the club determines whether he'll need a stint on the disabled list.

What It Means:

Hundley tweaked his left oblique during batting practice Thursday and had to be scratched from the lineup. "I've been feeling good physically, so it's frustrating on that end," Hundley said Thursday. "I'll have to check and see how it feels tomorrow. I cut batting practice a little bit short and I was going to go until it got worse." Dustin Garneau will be recalled if Hundley goes on the DL and he'd be in line to share time behind the plate with Tony Wolters.

In 54 appearances this season, Hundley is batting .273/.407/.523 with a .403 wOBA and two long balls. He posted an impressive line of .301/.339/.467 with a .348 wOBA and 10 home runs in 389 plate appearances last season.
