Astros' Jose Altuve has another big day, goes 4-for-4 with his ninth blast
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve had a huge night Thursday, finishing 4-for-4 with a home run, two RBI's and two runs scored in a loss to the Seattle Mariners.
Altuve might miss Friday's game due to a sore back, because he's carrying the Astros' offense these days. The 25-year-old led off the home half of the first inning with his ninth home run of the year and his second in as many days.
Through 29 games, Altuve leads the league in homers (9), stolen bases (10), slugging percentage (.687) and OPS (1.104) and is second in runs scored (27). He owns a hard-hit rate of 34.3 percent, which is a career high, but he is also sporting an unsustainable 28.3 home-run-to-fly-ball ratio (career average is 5.9). He's a fantastic sell-high option right now.
