Lorenzo Cain's walk-off single lifts Royals over Nationals

Kansas City Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain hit a walk-off RBI single to complete the Royals' 7-6, comeback win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.

What It Means:

Cain was 2-for-5 on the day, and driving in the go-ahead run was a lot bigger than "RBI single" makes it sound.

He's an underwhelming .240/.305/.302 from the plate to start the season, with a soft-hit rate (20.6 percent) almost as high as his hard-hit rate (22.1 percent). We project him to turn things around a bit, though, as we project him to post a .329 wOBA for the remainder of the season.
