Freddie Freeman singles, homers in Braves' loss to Cubs
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman singled and launched a solo homer in Friday's loss to the Chicago Cubs.
Freeman belted a 3-0 pitch from Jon Lester deep into the Wrigley Field bleachers in right field during the fourth inning. That got the scoring going, but the Cubbies rallied late with five runs in the eighth. Freeman is really starting to heat up, batting .444 with two homers over his last seven games.
On the year entering today, Freeman had posted a .308 wOBA across 91 appearances with a .247/.363/.364 slash. He now has three home runs and seven RBI's this season.
