Angels place Huston Street (oblique) on disabed list
Los Angeles Angels right-handed pitcher Huston Street was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 24, with a left oblique strain.
Street felt some discomfort while making warmup throws on Wednesday and will require an extended absence. The Angels will make a corresponding roster move on Friday. Joe Smith is expected to fill in at closer and should be picked up in all fantasy leagues.
Street had a strong start to the season with a 1.17 ERA, but he has a 4.67 SIERA and 14.3 percent strikeout rate. Things are likely to start going downhill whenever he returns from injury. We project him to post a 3.62 ERA over the remainder of the season.
