Milwaukee puts Scooter Gennett (oblique) on disabled list

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Scooter Gennett was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right oblique.

What It Means:

Gennett suffered the injury during batting practice Tuesday on a cold evening at Wrigley Field. He could be out for a month. It's an especially tough blow because the second baseman was off to a great start this season. Yadiel Rivera and Hernan Perez will fill in at second base.

In 47 appearances this season, Gennett is batting .258/.361/.516 with a .568 wOBA and four homers.
