Astros, Jason Castro have arbitration hearing on Monday

Houston Astros catcher Jason Castro will have an arbitration hearing with the Astros on Monday afternoon.

What It Means:

A ruling should come Tuesday. Castro requested a $5.25 million salary for 2016 and was offered $5 million from the Astros' front office when arbitration figures were exchanged in mid-January. Castro, 28, is in his third and final year of arbitration, meaning he can become a free agent next winter.

Castro posted a .361 wOBA with 18 homers back in 2013, but that's looking like an outlier. He had a measly .284 wOBA with 11 homers this past season.
