Stephen Piscotty (ankle) out Sunday for Athletics

Oakland Athletics right fielder Stephen Piscotty (ankle) is not starting in Sunday afternoon's series finale versus right-hander Zack Greinke and the Houston Astros.

What It Means:

Piscotty was removed from Saturday's game against the Astros due to a right ankle injury he sustained while sliding into second base during the seventh inning. The extent of the injury is unknown, but the Athletics should provide an update by the end of the day. Chad Pinder is starting in right field on Sunday afternoon.

Piscotty is hitting .246/.309/.405 with 12 home runs and 41 RBI in 373 plate appearances (87 games) this season.
