Eloy Jimenez (elbow) placed on the 10-day IL by the White Sox
Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (elbow) has been placed on the 10-day IL.
Jimenez has been diagnosed with a right ulnar nerve contusion after colliding with teammate Charlie Tilson on Tuesday. There is no timetable for his return as of yet. Ryan Cordell will be in the outfield in his place Wednesday.
Jimenez is batting .244 with 17 homers and a .483 slugging percentage in 267 plate appearances this season.
