Mike Moustakas (hand) out of Brewers' lineup Wednesday
Milwaukee Brewers infielder Mike Moustakas (hand) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale versus left-hander Matt Strahm and the San Diego Padres.
Moustakas suffered a contusion on his left hand after getting hit by a pitch on Tuesday night. X-rays came back negative, so it appears to be a day-to-day issue. Hernan Perez is manning second base and batting fifth Wednesday in San Diego while Travis Shaw covers the hot corner out of the seven-hole.
Moose is batting .279/.350/.581 with 21 home runs, 45 RBI, 46 runs scored, and 3 steals in 66 games for Milwaukee this season.
