Carlos Gonzalez sitting for Cubs in Thursday's opener
Chicago Cubs outfielder Carlos Gonzalez is not starting in Thursday's series opener against left-hander Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk drawn, and 2 runs scored in Wednesday's beatdown of the Colorado Rockies. He's gone 6-for-23 (.261) with a .857 OPS through seven games for the Cubs. Kris Bryant is starting in right field on Thursday.
