Niko Goodrum (knee) out of Tigers' lineup Wednesday
Detroit Tigers infielder/outfielder Niko Goodrum is not starting on Wednesday versus left-hander Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals due to a knee injury.
What It Means:
Goodrum made an early exit from Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Royals after fouling a ball off his knee in the top of the third inning. An MRI came back negative, but he's still dealing with significant swelling. Gordon Beckham is covering shortstop on Wednesday. JaCoby Jones is in the leadoff spot.
